This past week was Josh's birthday. He turned the big 20. I guess that's one of the less memorable birthdays of our lives. I can't believe he's hit it already, though. Josh is my artistic child (sorry, Bran). He always took art in school, and no mom bragged louder on his drawings and stuff than I did. He really IS talented, but he won't hear of it. But he always has kind words for MY doodlings. I saw this set from my idol,
Cambria Turnbow. She recently started her own stamp company with some of her friends,
Our Craft Lounge. I just HAD to have this little guy, Dr. Pea-Nut. I had already made a couple of cards with him when I saw this version by Cambria, herself. I was wanting to wor

k on coloring backgrounds at the time, and this did the trick. So, i CASE'd her coloring completely . Though I butchered the coloring pretty bad, I still like it. I have the air compressor that I use with my
Copics, but I wanted to work on my hand coloring for when masking is just not workable.
I was going to make a valentine's card at the time and had the base card with the designer paper (clearance at Hobby Lobby) set and using my Martha Stewart scallop lace punch, but I last minute popped sweet Lil Peanut on there and made Josh a VERY mushy b'day card. He was a trooper about it, though. I am also making a much more concerted effort to decorate the INSIDE of my cards...I can't stand plain janes.
