Ms. AbbieK has been with us now for over four months. I wanted to make her a card for forever, but just didn't get around to it...until yesterday. I just had so many different ideas. I had bought this set of stamps way back. The name of the set is Mindy's Zoo. I have already used the monkeys in a scrap page. So, I decided to go with this cute little guy. He's double mounted on Nestabilities. I used My Copics to color the image. I used a paperpack for the background paper. I used the Martha Stewart punch for the lace effect at the bottom. The sentiment if from a dollar pack of acrylic stamps got at Michaels.

The inside has a small strip of matching background paper and every so tiny little hand prints stamped ever so lightly along the bottom. The handprint stamp was an e-Bay find. Hero Arts maybe?

The gem clip was an idea I got from Kristina Werner's website, Make a Card Monday. I loved the heart shape. It was perfect for attaching my little snippet of ribbon.

This past Thursday was my AbbieK day. I just LOVE to keep my girl. She's sooo much fun. I bought the bouncy that she's in to keep at my house. It's a Boppy brand. Don't even get me STARTED on Boppys. I think I'm Boppy handicapped or something. I usually end up sitting cross legged with one leg up higher and she sort of nestles in. She loves to look at you while she's eating, so it sort of works.

Anyway, I got her home from where Brandi and I meet up to pass her off to me, and she had a pink elephant, another pink elephant blankety thing, two pink blankets, a pink and white burp cloth that is with her 24/7, and then I plopped her in the pink Boppy. Can we say TOOO much pink?

The little orange key ring toy is one that stays at my house. I think it does not blend. Hmmmm....does this mean another shopping trip for Honey?

My next post will be of a card I made for her. Not too sure how much I like it, but it's the thought that counts, right?

My hubby is planning a cookout of sorts for his friends from his hometown. The planning has been totally fun for him. He most graciously decided to let me "play" by making him some invitations. This is my standby style of invite. It's fun and easy to do, and i get to play with so many different "toys" in the process.

I got the paper used from a $1 pack at Dollar Tree...no, really, I did. It makes a lot of invites, too. I cut the 12 X 12 cardstock at 11 inches on one side. I cut it at 4 1/4 by 11. You get two invites from one piece of cardstock. The leftover piece nets you two of the backings that I glued the typed invitation to.

I stamped a fishing pole (Stamping Bella) and cocktail glass from an acrylic stamp set I got at the Dollar section of Michaels on the typed invite. I attached little pull tabs and stapled a little piece of raffia for my final touch. I just hope we can afford the postage for the things now. ACK!!
